Terms of use
Last updated: October 2026
EditorLAB is an AI-assisted clipping service: it finds the best moments of your videos and streams, and turns them into reframed, subtitled clips, ready to post. By using EditorLAB, you accept these terms.
This is a translation of our French terms of use, which prevail in case of any discrepancy.
EditorLAB is published by Melvin Leroy, an individual established in Belgium, Rue de Coeurcq 85, 1480 Tubize, Belgique: see the legal notice (in French).
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for what happens with your login details. You can create your account with your email or with Google (“Continue with Google”): EditorLAB then receives your Google name, email address and profile picture, nothing else (see the privacy policy).
Your videos belong to you
Everything you upload stays yours. We claim no rights over your videos — we only process them for as long as it takes to generate your clips and recommendations.
Subscription
EditorLAB offers several plans, monthly or yearly, paid through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your settings (Settings › Subscription › Cancel), after an explicit confirmation.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid (the current month, or the current year with yearly billing): you keep access to your plan until that date, with no new charge, and you can undo your cancellation until then from your settings. The current period is not refunded pro rata, since you enjoy it until the end. On the end date, your account moves to the free plan and the remaining hours of your plan are lost; your pack hours remain usable until they expire, and your clips and videos keep their usual retention period. During an unpaid invoice (see below), no paid period is running: cancellation then takes effect immediately and the overdue invoice is voided.
Declined payment. If a renewal payment fails, we let you know by email and in the app, and we automatically retry the payment for about two weeks. During that time, you keep access to your plan, and you can pay the invoice at any time, with another card if needed. If every retry fails, your subscription is not cancelled, but access to your plan’s features is suspended (your account works like the free plan) until the overdue invoice is paid. During the suspension, no other installment is charged: there is only ever one overdue invoice, at its original amount, with no late fee or penalty. As soon as it is paid, access to your plan is restored immediately. You can cancel at any time, including during the retries or the suspension: the stop is then immediate and the overdue invoice is voided. We never stop your subscription on our own: only you can cancel it.
You can change plans at any time. A higher plan applies immediately: the price difference is charged pro rata for the current period. A lower plan, or switching from yearly to monthly billing, applies at the end of the period already paid: you keep your current plan until then, and the difference gives rise to neither a credit nor a refund.
The hours included in your plan are renewed every month and do not roll over. Hours bought in a pack are valid for 12 months from purchase; they are used once the plan’s hours run out, starting with those that expire first. Pack hours not used by their expiry date are lost and are not refunded.
Right of withdrawal
If you subscribe as a consumer, the law generally gives you 14 days to withdraw from a subscription or a pack purchase, without giving a reason (Belgian Code of Economic Law, article VI.47).
EditorLAB is a digital service that starts as soon as you pay: your plan or your hours are available right away. This is why, when you pay, we ask you to tick a box, without which payment is not possible: « Je demande l’accès immédiat au service et je reconnais perdre mon droit de rétractation une fois le service entièrement fourni ; si je me rétracte avant, je paierai la part déjà utilisée » (“I request immediate access to the service and acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided; if I withdraw before that, I will pay for the part already used”). The same box appears in the app when you upgrade to a higher plan. By ticking it, you ask for the service to start immediately, before the end of the 14-day period. You lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided (article VI.53).
Before that, you can withdraw by writing to service@editorlab.app within 14 days of your payment. You then only owe us the part of the service already provided up to your request (the hours already used), and we refund the rest within 14 days, using the payment method you used (article VI.51).
The 7-day free trial of the Creator plan is not charged: you can stop it before it ends without paying anything.
Publishing to your social accounts
From the Creator plan, EditorLAB can publish your clips to the TikTok, YouTube and Instagram accounts you connect, at the time you choose; from the Pro plan, it can also pick and schedule them for you (automatic mode), with or without your approval. You alone are responsible for what is published on your accounts, for your rights to that content, and for complying with each network’s rules.
By publishing to YouTube with EditorLAB, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Data received from Google is processed according to our privacy policy and the Google Privacy Policy.
This feature is awaiting approval from TikTok, Google and Meta: it is not available yet. Until then, you download your clips and post them yourself. Once publishing opens, it will depend on each network’s availability: if it fails, we will retry and then let you know by email. You will be able to disconnect a network at any time.
Affiliate program
Every user can share an affiliate link. You earn 30% of the amount, excluding taxes, of each payment made by your referrals, for as long as they stay subscribed. Each commission becomes withdrawable 30 days after your referral’s payment; its availability date is shown in your affiliate area. From €50 withdrawable, you can request a payout, made by bank transfer. A commission linked to a refunded payment is cancelled. Multiple accounts, self-referral and any fraud lead to the loss of the earnings concerned.
Artificial intelligence systems
EditorLAB relies on AI systems provided by third parties and, for part of the transcriptions, on open models run on an EditorLAB server: the audio of your videos can be transcribed on an EditorLAB server located in Belgium, or by AssemblyAI. The content produced — cuts, subtitles, analyses, recommendations — may contain errors: check it before you publish.
- Claude (Anthropic) — clip suggestions, help assistant, translation. Data sent: the transcript text and the video metadata. No video or audio file is sent. Privacy policy.
- AssemblyAI (AssemblyAI) — clip transcription. Data sent: the audio track of the video. For large files, only the extracted audio is sent, never the picture. Privacy policy.
- Transcription EditorLAB (EditorLAB (open models Whisper by OpenAI and Parakeet by NVIDIA)) — clip transcription. Data sent: the audio track of the video, which stays on EditorLAB’s servers: it is not sent to any third party. Privacy policy.
Your videos are not used to train models on EditorLAB’s behalf. Nothing is published without your consent: the AI suggests, you decide (the Pro plan’s automatic mode only publishes what you have authorized). The full details are on the AI transparency page.
