Privacy

Last updated: October 2026

We tell you clearly what we do with your data. No jargon, no surprises.

This is a translation of our French privacy policy, which prevails in case of any discrepancy.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Melvin Leroy, publisher of EditorLAB, Rue de Coeurcq 85, 1480 Tubize, Belgique (see the legal notice, in French). For any question about your data: service@editorlab.app.

What we collect

  • Your email and your password (encrypted), for your account.
  • The videos you upload, for as long as it takes to analyze them.
  • Usage data: features used, hours of video consumed, some technical information (IP address, browser).
  • Your answers to the welcome questionnaire, if you answer it: what you do (streamer, clipper, agency, creator), where you stream, your channel link or the size of your community, what you stream, your live hours per week, how you make your clips today, your goal and how you heard about us. They are saved question by question, even if you don't finish.
  • If you subscribe to the blog newsletter: your email (once you confirm it, by clicking the link in the email you receive), the language you chose and your 10% discount code, created at Stripe and valid for 30 days.
  • If you connect Twitch: your Twitch username, your follower count and access tokens, to import your VODs (including subscriber-only ones) and show your channel.

Why

To run the service: create your account, analyze your videos, bill you, and improve EditorLAB over time. Your answers to the welcome questionnaire are used to tailor EditorLAB to your content (content type suggested at import, recommended plan) and to send you relevant emails. The blog newsletter sends you one guide a week, your discount code, then a single reminder 5 days before it expires if you haven't used it.

Who has access

A few providers help us run the service:

  • Vercel, to host the website and count visits, without cookies (see “Analytics”).
  • Supabase, for authentication and the database.
  • Stripe, for payments.
  • Brevo, to send you our emails (account, updates on your videos, getting-started tips, blog newsletter). Brevo receives your email, your first name, your plan and your hours balance, and your answers to the welcome questionnaire. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails from each email or in your settings.
  • Cloudflare, to store your files.
  • AI analysis providers, to generate the recommendations on your videos.
  • For transcription, the audio of your videos is transcribed on an EditorLAB server located in Belgium, or by AssemblyAI.
  • Twitch, if you connect your account to import your VODs.
  • TikTok, Google (YouTube) and Meta (Instagram, Facebook), only if you connect these accounts to publish your clips (see “Publishing to your social accounts”).

Some of them are based in the United States. In that case, the data transfer is covered by safeguards recognized by the GDPR. We never sell or rent your data.

Analytics

We measure the number of visits to our public pages. This measurement is anonymous and cookie-free: no identifier, IP address or browser is stored — only the page viewed and the date. Your browsing is never recorded (no session replay).

Publishing to your social accounts

If you connect your TikTok, YouTube or Instagram account, or your Facebook Page, on the Publishing page, we receive from that network, with your explicit consent:

  • your account ID, username and profile picture, to show the connected account;
  • access tokens, stored encrypted, which let us publish the clips you schedule, at the time you choose.

We only use this access to publish your clips and show their status. We don't read your messages, your followers or your other videos, and we never publish anything you haven't scheduled or authorized (automatic mode). This data is not sold, shared, or used for advertising or to train AI models.

YouTube: by publishing to YouTube with EditorLAB, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; data received from Google is processed according to the Google Privacy Policy. EditorLAB's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect a network at any time on the Publishing page: the tokens are deleted immediately. You can also revoke access from the network itself (Google account, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook settings › Apps and websites). See also Data deletion (in French).

How long we keep your data

Your account stays active until you delete it. The source videos you import or upload are deleted automatically after 24 h on Free and 7 days on paid plans. Your clips are kept according to your plan — 1 day on Free, 30 days on Creator and Pro, 90 days on Studio — then deleted automatically. Blog newsletter: you stay subscribed until you unsubscribe (a link in every email). Your address and code are then kept, so that an address only ever receives one code; write to us to have them deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or retrieve (portability) your data at any time. Write to us at service@editorlab.app. You can also contact the Belgian Data Protection Authority if you think we are not respecting your rights.
